HOW IS COOLSCULPTING® ELITE DIFFERENT THAN THE ORIGINAL COOLSCULPTING® TREATMENT?

CoolSculpting® Elite is the most advanced CoolSculpting® system yet. The applicators feature an improved C-shaped cup, designed for better fit and function for your body’s natural curves. These new elite applicators are up to 18% larger than the original applicators. With proven increased comfort during tissue draw, each Elite applicator has 96.6% tissue contact compared to 65.7% with the original applicator. Also, each Elite machine has two applicators. Since we have two CoolSculpting® Elite machines, you can tri or quad CoolSculpt, meaning less time per treatment for you!

IS THE COOLSCULPTING® ELITE TREATMENT RIGHT FOR ME?

CoolSculpting® Elite is a fat-reduction treatment for men and women who want to get rid of stubborn pockets of fat on certain areas of their body that are resistant to diet and exercise alone. CoolSculpting® Elite is not a weight loss procedure. CoolSculpting® Elite is a nonsurgical fat reduction treatment that has little to no downtime and is the #1 doctor recommended treatment for nonsurgical fat reduction.

HOW MUCH DOES COOLSCULPTING® ELITE COST?

That all depends on what areas you want to treat and how many treatments you need. Many patients choose to do CoolSculpting® Elite on multiple areas to reach their ideal end result. Cost starts at $2,400 for inner or outer thighs or chin and starts at $3,200 for a midsection makeover. Targeted areas can also be combined. Your CoolSculpting® Elite Specialist will work with you in creating a personalized treatment that fits your body goals and budget. We also offer flexible financing through CareCredit®.

CAN COOLSCULPTING® ELITE REDUCE FAT ON EVERY PART OF MY BODY?

CoolSculpting® Elite is FDA-cleared for the treatment of visible fat bulges in the submental (under the chin) and submandibular (under the jawline) areas, inner and outer thighs, abdomen, flanks, bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks (also known as banana roll), and upper arms. It is also FDA-cleared to tighten loose skin under the chin.

WHAT IS A COOLSCULPTING® ELITE TREATMENT LIKE?

After the CoolSculpting® Elite applicator is placed on the treatment area, there will be a slight sucking sensation as it adheres to your body, followed by that signature cooling effect. In the beginning, you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, and cramping at the treatment site. These sensations subside as the area becomes numb from the cold. Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment.

After the applicator is detached, your CoolSculpting® Elite Specialist will do a brief massage on the area to break up the treated fat cells to enhance the fat reduction. That’s it! Generally, you will be able to return to your regular activities immediately after.

HOW LONG DOES A TREATMENT TAKE?

Each CoolSculpting® Elite treatment is different, so it depends on which areas of the body and how many areas you plan on treating. Most of the time, each treatment can be done in as little as 35 minutes with most overall treatment plans including two or more treatment sessions, spread four weeks apart. If you opt to do multiple treatments in a single treatment session, expect to spend more time. We have two CoolSculpting® Elite machines, allowing you to do multiple treatment areas at once, reducing the amount of time spent in office.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?

Our goal with every client is to “treat to complete” to achieve the 20-25% fat reduction in the treated area. We know that you will be your happiest with your results when we do the recommended number of treatments. Your CoolSculpting® Elite Specialist will work with you to determine how many treatments are necessary.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

You will start to see changes as soon as 1-3 months post-treatment. Final results may take 6 months or more.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE FROZEN FAT CELLS?

CoolSculpting® Elite uses cryolipolysis, which is just a technical way to say fat-freezing. When fat cells freeze, they die and are then naturally eliminated through the body’s natural process. Don’t worry, this process happens gradually. After a few weeks, you will start noticing a reduction, which will keep improving over the months following treatment.

IS THE COOLSCULPTING® ELITE TREATMENT SAFE?

CoolSculpting® Elite has been cleared by the FDA to be safe and effective in reducing fat in nine areas.

WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE COOLSCULPTING® ELITE?

CoolSculpting® Elite is not for everyone. You should not have it done if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease, or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. The CoolSculpting® Elite procedure is not a weight loss treatment. As with any medical procedure, ask your physician if CoolSculpting® Elite is right for you.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS AFTER A TREATMENT?

Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging, tenderness, cramping, aching, itching, or skin sensitivity, and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment. Rare side effects may also occur. Paradoxical hyperplasia (visibly enlarged tissue volume in the treated area) may develop two to five months after treatment and requires surgical intervention for correction.

CAN I GAIN WEIGHT AFTER HAVING A COOLSCULPTING® ELITE TREATMENT?

CoolSculpting® Elite helps eliminate stubborn pockets of fat. Since CoolSculpting® is not a weight loss treatment, it is possible to gain weight post-treatment if you don’t keep up your healthy habits.

WILL MY HEALTH INSURANCE COVER A COOLSCULPTING® ELITE TREATMENT?

Because CoolSculpting® Elite is a voluntary cosmetic treatment, it is not normally covered by insurance providers and FSA companies. Check directly with your insurer to learn what is covered under your plan’s benefits. Alternately, you can also discuss financing options with us.
